Information used to create invoices

We process the details you enter manually or select from spreadsheet rows. These may include business and customer names, addresses, contact details, invoice numbers and dates, descriptions, quantities or hours, rates, amounts, and optional payment notes. Please include only information needed for an invoice.

Manual and bulk processing

When you generate a manual invoice, the entered details are sent to the server to create a PDF for download.

For bulk import, your browser reads the selected spreadsheet. When you request a preview, extracted rows and mapping choices are sent to the server for validation and grouping. When you export, the details needed to create Standard or Timesheet PDFs are sent to the server, which returns a ZIP download. The original spreadsheet is not sent as a binary file by this flow.

Why we use the information

We use submitted details to check entries, show grouped invoice previews, create the requested PDFs and ZIP files, and deliver downloads.

Invoice files and storage

The application creates PDF and ZIP downloads during your request and does not provide an account or invoice archive. It does not save submitted customer and invoice contents in an application database. Files you download remain on your device until you delete them.

The website stores one necessary preference in your browser, invgen.welcome.dismissed.v1, after you dismiss or complete the welcome guide. This prevents the guide from opening automatically on every visit. It contains no invoice, customer, or contact information, is not used for tracking, and remains until you clear this site's browser data.

Aggregate metrics and technical logs

We keep daily aggregate counts for manual generation started, succeeded, or failed; bulk workflow selected, previewed, export succeeded, or export failed; and successful public ZIP exports. These are totals only. We do not create a unique-visitor metric and do not put invoice or customer contents in these aggregates.

Daily aggregates and content-free export identifiers are deleted 90 days after the bulk demo ends. Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days and contain only request time, route, response status, duration, error category, and a short-lived anonymous rate-limit identifier. They do not contain submitted invoice or customer contents, PDF or ZIP contents, customer names, or customer email addresses.

Spreadsheet library

The bulk import page loads a spreadsheet-reading library from SheetJS. Your browser contacts that provider to load the library; the spreadsheet itself is read in your browser before extracted rows are sent to our server for preview or export.

Privacy questions and requests

Contact INVGEN to ask about how your information is handled or to make a privacy request. If another person entered your details in an invoice, let us know so we can understand the context of your request.
